**The full gig is now online on my channel**

"Welcome to the new dark ages" - Antisect live.
A clip from the Animal Rights gig 30th March 1987. Actually this was going to be a gig for the Norwich Venue Campaign, but the animal rights society at the uni managed to get the venue, so they got the gig! This was in the long gone and much missed UEA barn, now replaced by houses sadly. Also played were Atavistic and Deviated Instinct.

  • It's not a nazi symbol, its just a bikers tattoo. AntiSect were not a nazi band. What you are saying is just ludicrous.

  • Years ago, I had a lass who fancied George Michael, and hated Punk. Dont know what she'd make of Antisect's singer, ha ha!

  • Sadly some bands made one GREAT album then became utterly dull for whatever reason (line change or so). Deviated Instinct, Ripcords, etc have had also this problem, living on their reputation, and reforming isn't gonna get them any better...

  • The main problem with anarcho-punk is that virtually no bands had any musical ideas at all and it become a sort of generic 'sound' - repetitive angular chord progression and some bloke trying to sound like a demented cockney drunk over the top.

  • @acwealde what a conservative assumption about anything punk maybe the vocalists are nuts but harmless. why? who's picking on crazy people? if so, it's pretty fascist.

  • @mediattackrecords of course way industrial like amebix but more poseur and postmodern

  • so poseur and pop meets metal

  • I have to say I find this band pretty dull.

  • @acwealde That symbol came from the anarcho fanzine, Virus. None of the band are nazis or commies.

  • Antisect are back in rehearsal and will be playing shows in 2011. True fact,

  • i love this stuff. i've got a whole live tape of them and sacrilege at the mermaid from '86 fucking great stuff.

  • Lippy! or anyone that know him. Contact me.
