okayy, so everyone takes the song a different way.. but here's how i see it:
nathan and haley are starting to get together but she doesn't think it is going to work out because of how different they are, so when she meets chris keller she goes on tour with him. she soon realizes its a mistake and decides to take a chance on nathan. they both didn't think that their relationship was going to last but they fall in love.. then they go through some hard times and start doubting that they can last.. but they are so in love & end up making it in the end! :)
