The point was supposed to be that Marlena was so determined to get home to Sami and the rest of her kids that she wasn't paying enough attention to her surroundings to realize it was Will. She hadn't seen him in weeks, and actually, I don't Marlena actually saw him much at all after his birth because Sami still resented her.

I don't find it shocking that Marlena tells Brady she loves him. Because she'd been a part of his life from the beginning. He's a part of John so therefore she loves him.

@me900100 I'm sorry, sometimes my sarcasm doesn't translate. I was being facetious when I said that it was shocking that Marlena told Brady she loved him, because in later years the show ignored the real history and pretended like Marlena always treated Brady like he wasn't a real son and didn't love him like she loved Belle. Sometimes my bitterness about rewritten history comes out in my descriptions.

@me900100 I hated the story when Kyle Lowder took on the role of Brady. We SAW Marlena raise Brady and she's the only mother he had known and she loved him unconditionally. The fact that they rewrote it made no sense. Especially since Isabella died when Brady was like 1. Oy this show and its rewrites!

She always has and always will love Brady. The stuff when Brady returned when they didn't get along was bad writing on those writers' parts. Marlena was the only mother Brady ever knew.
