Tai Chi Yang Style 40 Forms
Tai Chi originates from ancient China based on nature and harmony. The flowing movements contain much inner strength for health and healing. There are many styles and forms of Tai Chi all with different features. Yang is the most popular style characterized by gentle, graceful and expansive movements.

The 40 Forms set is more compact than the traditional Yang 108 Forms and contains all features, techniques and internal energy of the style.

Dr Lam starts his Tai Chi journey with Yang style more than thirty years ago; nowadays he practice Yang style with this set because it is very well composed. You can learn all techniques in less time.

Dr Paul Lam, a family physician and an internationally respected Tai Chi expert is a world leader in the field of Tai Chi for Health programs. Dr Lam is the author of Tai Chi for Beginners and the 24 Forms and Teaching Tai Chi Effectively. His Tai Chi for Health programs are supported by Arthritis and Diabetes organisations worldwide.

  • @gar19830811 Hmmm...I heard that history. Also, that it orginated in Chen village during the Ching Dynasty. However, all the histories seem to point towards the initial practice coming from Shaolin. I'm not going to say which is right, or wrong. After over 2k yrs...I doubt anyone knows the "true" origins. Thanks for the info. Check out "Tai Chi's Internal Secrets" by Grand Master Doc Fai-Wong & Dr. Jane Hollander. Great insight into the practice. Keep it Natural Keep it Tai-Chi!

  • @stepityo There´s something worng here because it´true that some Yoga techniques were brought to China by Boddhidharma, a Buddhist monk not an incarnation of the Buddha. Martial arts existed before he arrived and Tai Chi is a martial art that according to recent research has its origin in an imperial soldier who wrote a book " Boxing in 38 forms" I think that´s the title. On the other hand, this monk arrived to Shaolin, a buddhist temple, external Qiqong, and Taichi comes from internal, Wutang.

  • @exploreryen Not trying to say your info is wrong, dude, but, Tai Chi is actually a lot older than 200-300yrs old. Its foundations are in traditional Yoga techniques that were brought to China more than 2000yrs ago. By one of the incarnations of the Buddha. The Chinese combined the elements of Yoga with their traditional Animal Forms and created Grand Ultimate Fist, or, Grand Ultimate Way(TaiChi Chuan).
