i agree with you that its a great Malkmus record; I love the Jicks almost equally to Pavement; but the new stuff evokes memories of Brighten the Corners tunes such as "We are Underused" and "Starlings in the Slipstream" and "Fin" and "Type Slowly" (that's a lot of songs)
