Project Reality Mod v0.87 - Koreangal Valley 1 - Part 1

Project Reality:

Its a mod made for Battlefield 2, first version was out a couple of years ago. I started playing it a year ago, with version 0.7 and currently they are at 0.87. This is not a normal FPS (first person shooter), you cant run around, then suddenly lie down, and get 100% accuracy. You have to think, and combine stealth, speed and precision in such a way that the enemy never knows what hit them (thats the ideal situation, Ive only seen it happen 2 or 3 times). The great thing about this game, is that its updated regularly. The DEV (developers) team is constantly making new things. Like the Russians forces in 0.85 (or 0.8, not sure). So the game is constantly growing. Many people play this game, on a normal night (GMT+1 time), around 400 people are online. On the weekends thats around 800. It might not be much for a game, but it certainly is for a mod.

I play it quite often, more then the total war series. One of the great things of it is, that around 90% of the people have mics. So you can always find a good squad with good teamplay. The rounds can last up to 3 hours, although this is quite rare. Usually a round lasts for 1.5 hours.

I recommend this game for strategy gamers, who are interested in FPS, but dont like that there is almost no realism. You can do whatever you want, you can go commander and lead your team of 32 players (on a full server), or you can go squad leader and lead 5 people, or you could be one of those five people. Its really hard to be a good squad leader, commanding isnt that difficult. But you might want to start with squad member, and get the hang of the game first.

If you want to play this game you will need bf2 (off course =]). When you are planning on playing this game, you might want to contact me first, because this game is a very complex game, and you dont want to get banned from the good servers.

@xblRegvolution it is a bit more demanding, but not much, so you should be able to run it fine =).

Hey nice vids watched all of them!!

One question... i know they are very different but which do you think is better

PR mod or ArmA 2??? Not to bothered bout the graphics but more focused on the multiplayer gameplay!! Another factor is the price which is more worth the money??? Also which do you think is easier??!! :P one more Q.. which is more realistic to real life??

@f1maniacz PR is waaaaay better =P. PR is free so better with that as well. It's quite hard to get the hang of the game, but that goes for Arma 2 too. Because of the teamwork you can find in PR, I would say that is more realistic to real life. But because they are using the bf2 engine, the vehicles aren't 100% realistic.

I will always say PR is better then ArmA 2 =).

christ now i remember how much i hate this map.to many danm hills and mouintains,can't get any where.and the avatars have the legs of small toddlers.can't climb a simple incline.

They have some videos of the real Korengal Valley. They have a helmet cam video that is probably the most intense firefight I've seen. Starts off with a squad walking along a snowy mountain path, right when they pass this huge puddle, they start taking fire, helmet cam guy runs, takes cover behind this wall, and fires a 203 round to his 6'o clock (after turning around) and it goes crazy from there. I recommend finding it.
