  • When I have the time.I thoroughly enjoy reading everybody's comments. I think hero's, true hero's are important for everyone. Carlos Hathcock was a real life super hero. There are a lot of great books about Carlos Hathcock available, some better than others. Ive read 2 and part of one that was so bad I couldn't finish it. Bubba Lee has probably read everything available, maybe he could make a list of some of the better reads.

    Thanks guys.

  • He is my hero I want to be a usmc in honor of him

  • these are really awsome stories

  • "He caught that chunk of lead."

  • @PabloDPena THE KILLER WAS DRESSED AS A COP!

  • Don't forget it was Hathcock who said Oswald could not possibly have done what the W.C. said he did. Here's the exact quote : ""Let me tell you what we did at Quantico. We reconstructed the whole thing: the angle, the range, the moving target, the time limit, the obstacles, everything. I don't know how many times we tried it, but we couldn't duplicate what the Warren Commission said Oswald did". (KILL ZONE, pp. 89-90).

  • @lolololololol1234561 What? That was(and for some still is) a common feeling. Shooting people and other targets from a clandestine position at (usually) great distances. You don't see how someone could consider that cowardly/unfair? Look at any war in history that involved sharpshooters and how the enemy sharpshooters were treated once captured. That will tell you exactly how some people feel about the art of sniping.

Thankfully, talented men like Carlos help to legitimize this aspect of war.

  • @BNicodemo who considered snipers to be scums of the earth?

  • It's guys like Carlos that helped transform the perception of snipers as being the scum of the earth, the cowards of combat, to being revered as great heroes.
