Song about the Qingzang Railway, sung by Basang.

The Qingzang Railway, also known as the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, is a high altitude railroad connecting Xining with Lhasa. The 4 billion USD project is part of the larger Western China Development Program. The line was completed in 2005 and has boosted Tibet's economy and tourism.

Lyrics:
At dawn, I stand upon the green grassland
I see a magical eagle bathed in ruddy light
Like an auspicious cloud soaring through the blue sky
Bringing good luck to the Tibetan people

At dusk, I stand atop the tall mountain peak
I see the railway built to my hometown
A colossal dragon soaring through the mountains
Bringing prosperity to the snowy plateau

That is a magical Heaven's Road
Bringing the motherland's warmth to borderlands
Mountains are no longer high, journeys are no longer long
All ethnic groups unite as one

At dusk, I stand atop the tall mountain peak
I see the railway built to my hometown
A colossal dragon soaring through the mountains
Bringing prosperity to the snowy plateau

That is a magical Heaven Road
Bringing us to paradise on earth
Barley beer and butter tea will taste more sweet
Joyful songs echo in all directions

That is a magical Heaven Road
Bringing us to paradise on earth
Barley beer and butter tea will taste more sweet
Joyful songs echo in all directions

Joyful songs echo in all directions

  • Fact is: Chinese gave freedom to tibetans. They forced them to abandon slavary in about 1950.

If there is any rights been taken away, it is the right to be a slave.

    Is this want you want?

  • It's a heavenly song. Listening to this song, i feel compelled to make a journey by the Qinghai - Lhasa train. thanks a lot for sharing this jewel here!

    Highly recommended!

  • Isn't this in Chinese?

  • @katrevallio1 Misguided fellar.

  • has anyone an idea where there is sheet music to this song ?

  • @allplay111

You can't force someone to be free... Freedom means that nobody is forcing you to do anything. Also nations don't have wills like people do...

  • @MGLomerta what about buryatia?

  • Genocide is not attractive. This is a beautifully sung lie.

Propaganda. A superficial cover to a terrible crime.

Chinese people have been told the invasion of Tibet by the

Chinese is a 'liberation'. Sadly, this does not seem to be the case.

People of Tibet are casually tortured and killed by the Chinese 'authorities',

spiritually repressed, do not seem to have freedom of speech in Tibet,

and have behaved very badly indeed in many ways.

There are many good Chinese, who don't realize this.

  • It is very hypocritical to like this song and say "Free Tibet" at the same time because this song is about a railroad the Chinese constructed to connect Tibet and the rest of the country after the so-called genocide and massacre invasion of Tibet by the evil Chinese.

  • @allplay111

The salvation of neighbor is not a reason to rape him.

    Confucius... or someone else)))

  • freedom for InnerMongolia and Tibet!

  • @allplay111 thank you if you realise what i meant. i didn't mean to sound rude but it does hurts me when people say our parents and grand parents who went through torture and killing deserved it since we are poor.
