On Saturday, March 5, at 9:45 p.m., police received multiple phone calls regarding on-going fighting at the DMV Music Awards in the 2700 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at a hotel.
Five people were transported to local hospitals, two with serious injuries. Investigation revealed that multiple fights took place in several locations throughout the hotel during the event. This is one victim's account of his injuries. The Hyatt Regency Crystal City is offerring a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the female suspect that committed this violent assault.
