I love all the comments...nice debate. I am the director of this show. All of the students are 17 & 18 years old. Jimmy is an operatically trained singer, but I think he did really well with the musical theatre style. He is not a high tenor, so we felt it best that he did not belt "the way you make me feel". Gavin Creel is fantastic, but remember, he is a full grown man. His voiced has completely changed. Thanks for watching the video!

the Aflats were a bit lacking

although im not a fan of their staging !

best version i have seen !

Made me laugh that the set looked like itwas going to separate it.
Liked the singing start of the choreography was funny but then went a bit bland!

its not about whether it should or shouldnt be belted. it all about opinion. in my opinion they way that performer sang the G#'s of the way you make me feel was not good enough. i am more than willing to hear a well done falsetto'd line, but that was not. again, all in my opinion, which i believe i'm intitled to.

Never saw the end like that with the four spotlights. Well done to all. :)

out of all the videos of this song i've watched, Jimmy and Millie have the best chemistry by far! i loved it, great job =]
I did not realise when I posted this video that it would elicit as many responses about the technicalities of belting verses non belting. My only reason for posting was that I thought that it was a really good performance by two young actors. Actually, I thought the whole show was really well done. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss!
