@BAMBAM8993 Well, we went on the 3 year cycle when the Lutheran Church moved from the Service Book and Hymnal to the Lutheran Book of Worship. We used the LBW for the first time at my church on February 28, 1979, which was Ash Wednesday.
@BAMBAM8993 This year, we are on the A series as far as Scripture readings go. They are mainly from Matthew. Next year, it will be B series. This Gospel will be used for the Palm Sunday gathering next year.
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. This is to all denominations: If Mark 11:1-11 is your Scripture for the Day, this is a good hymn to compliment it.
