It is sad that the violin accompanist doesnt allow flute to be heard once the varnam starts. But the raga alaapanam was awesome.

The violinist should have been careful not to sound the violin far above the flute.... Now it sounds like a Violin Solo.... Its disturbing....

Wonderful pure Carnatic music devoid of gimmicks. However the violinist has to learn how to accompany! For that basically he/she should listen more and be heard so much!

great reference!great recording!

Violin is not needed for a flute concert...both are same sounding instruments..In this violin is above flute...

Nice to hear the flute and artist that I grew up hearing every day as my neighbor!

KSG is a great flautist, and it is a pity he is not known much outside Kerala...and the violinist needs to tone it down a bit, so that the flute is prominent, don't you think?

Transcendental meditative music ... "The silence between the notes...It's the silence between the notes that makes the music" – Zen proverb
