i thought we WERE going to be taken in secret before the trouble starts in the rapture...can someone clarify this for me please?

@kristineurie44 You have listened to false teachers. Christ Jesus himself said he would come for his people immediately after the tribulation. Paul said to let no man deceive you, Christ would not come to gather his people until after a great falling away and the man of sin is revealed. The falling away comes partly through great persecution. Please take a momment to read our booklet:

That is true, but a lot of people have a "dead faith", and "think" they are saved. If your "Faith" doesn't work by love, and change your life, and liberate you from the power of sin and the love of this world... then well, you have the faith of devils, a faith that leads to damnation and not to eternal salvation.

Great message. However 1:00 "IF you have willful sin in your life you can have no assurance of salvation"???

Romans 7-19 Paul said, "For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want." - Yet Paul had EVERY assurance he was saved. If we sin Jesus is faithful to cleanse us.

@BurenVanMartin The Koine Greek text of 1 Thessalonians 4:17 uses the verb form ἁρπαγησόμεθα (harpagēsometha), which means "we shall be caught up" or "taken away", with the connotation that this is a sudden event. The dictionary form of this Greek verb is harpazō (ἁρπάζω).[6] with love

@kristineurie44 you know the bible actually never mentions the rapture. the theory is based on 1 or 2 passages and was first proposed by Cotton Mather.
