master from 1984 was one of those tv series coming off the popular karate / ninja movies maybe even karate kid.. I love that show as a kid i remember sitting a few feet in front of the t.v treasuring each episode!

Ninja's were being commercialized in the mid 80's. This show was just an extension of it.
