  • BULLSHHIT, you dont need A+ to work in geek squad all they do is send shit away to there "depot". And since there software is proprietary A+ wont help you at all, also there more interested in sales then actual computer fixing.

  • @codeythesilent well admittedly i didnt actually watch the vids but thanks for the clarification, but as to what you actually want to do for a living........what is it?

  • @radtech875

Nice. You don't even understand that the turtles you think my life will be based on were actually eggs from a nest being dug through by wildlife. It was a good Samaritan act on my behalf, I hatched them out and am giving them a head start. But I was unaware that I can't have side interests.

  • @codeythesilent based on your youtube channel i'm betting it has something to do with turtles...but alright...i'll bite. What do you want to do boss?

  • @codeythesilent well sir good luck climbing the ladder at dell tech support by finding new innovative ways of asking 90 year old women if their computer is plugged in.

  • @radtech875

Nice. Took you 6 months to respond in a completely irrelevant way. Do you even *know* what I want to do career-wise? It does NOT involve laying down fiber bundles, working for IBM or looking at cat5 cables (I hate networking in general anyways) Although I ought to mention that I learned how to make regular and crossover cables and tell them apart. Nice try though.

  • @codeythesilent instead of showing me comptia show me cisco, novell, show me a c++, foxpro or C# cert or your papers from IBM that qualifies you as an AS/OS (iSeries for the kiddies) operator, show me you can manually polish and lay a fiber bundle or that you know how to terminate and distinguish between a xover and straight8 cat5 cable without looking at a picture, shit even mcse is more impressive than comptia although come to think of it THATS pretty well amateur hour as well

  • @codeythesilent ive read the cert guide for a+ and net+ cover to cover and i can still honestly say that if i was hiring on a new tech for any department i would not bat an eyelash at any comptia certs because there simply isn't anything in there that teaches more than a basic understanding of hardware troubleshooting and network functionality. let me put it to you this way, if someone i was interviewing made a big deal about their comptia cert i wold show them to the door right then and there

  • @codeythesilent hell the guy even says that "comptia ensures that the technician has a MINIMUM of technical knowledge...IE bare bones...just enough....as in just enough to be dangerous when they think they know something but dont

  • @codeythesilent and i can guarantee you that if your standards for competence in IT are low enough that you would use A+ as any sort of benchmark, then you are not an IT professional and need to learn something of value
