A more appropriate term for this vehicle is "roadable aircraft", but "flying car" is catchier. As for people complaining about it being ugly, the original cars weren't exactly stylish either. It's more important for them to perfect the technology before trying to make it stylish.

Why so much negativity about this wonderful breakthru?
It is a plane with wings that can be folded without getting out of "the vehicle" and you can drive home which saves you the cost of hangar space
Plus you can travel and don't need a rent a car.
Plus it fits in most garages.
Almost all negativity regarding products like this usually comes from those that cannot afford one.
It's true,we learn all that we need to know about people in kindergarten.
