I got into a car accident December 5. A guy hit my side of the car doing over 45 mph and snapped my neck. I was taken to Orange Park medical and then rushed to Shands Trauma from there. Then was put into my halo. So the big day has come. I got my halo removed after wearing it 24/7 non stop for 98 days. I don't know how i made it. It was honestly the hardest thing i have ever been through. But its here, its done. So enjoy!

  • @cheesyqueen216 There were holes in my head because the halo is bolted into your skull. lol In four different locations... Thats how it keep my neck in that position until it was healed...

  • i fractured my neck almost 6 years ago and had one on for almost 3 months, the 4 pins actually popped out of my head when i was asleep in the recliner. it was the most awful thing and it was a very hot summer, up in the 90's, that fleeced vest was so miserable, the first thing i did when i got back from the hospital was take a shower, had a Philadelphia collar on for another 2 months, i think i actually took 3 showers that day and drove around

  • Did u get rid of the neck thingy later on?

  • Like, now you can start using your head again. You go, girl!

  • @weepete2t8adw yes smart one

  • @gerlnl0ve Is that screwed into your skull?

  • I had mine for 2 months

  • i get mine off in 2 weeks

  • Thankfully I only had to wear the halo once for 3 months because my C-5 turned into an aneurysmal cyst. And I had 2 metal plates and 8 screws installed to replace my C-5 in the front and back of my neck. Unfortunately mines kept scratching up against my skull when I had mines.
