Nice Gatesway! It gives me hope to see one alive and working since I have one which is is complete but at the beginning of the restoration process. I am going to record with it so I have collected 6 mic preamps. 4 run on EF86's and 2 are marked 5879. Sound's great even thru the camera mic.
I really liked the flexibility of this console except for the muting circuit which shorted out the normally energized muting relays which resulted in a slower muting of monitoring speakers. I modified this circuit in 1969 at the station I worked for at the time. The other thing that bugged me was the use of those noisy 5879 tubes!

This and the Gates Yard were real work hourse's for many years...
Nice job. Besides, Real radios glow in the dark !!!
