The fucking government invades, steals it,ships it in and make Heroin out of it, They sell it to dealers on the fucking street, track where it fucking goes, then busts the mother fuckers who sell it here. They'll bust so many dealers per year and let alot of them continue to sell it so the dealers can repopulate So they can bust them some more. A vicious cycle that they profit off of. They use that as a reason to militarize the fucking police on the streets. Now you got police brutality.

@Bullochman I call bullshit! the CIA and MI6 have been hauling heroin out of Afghanistan to USA and UK since 2001 that's why there's an increase in poppy production, same happened in Vietnam years ago.

if i was the united states. i would buy off the poppy fields or kill off the farmers. then burn the fields. taliban losses a big chunk of there income.

@Bullochman Do you really think the people of our government care about the well being of its citizens? This is a multi billion dollar trade....the corporate assholes that run the states would do anything to get their hands on this trade. It is all about money and this is no exception. After the addiction its jail time in America which is owned by a private organization on how many inmates they have and is then put on Wall street. MONEY is all that matters to the people on power. Not life.

To grow poppy and then assume that they have money is a little short sighted. After that you first have to make heroin out of it and have to distribute it worldwide, so it's not the Taliban making money out of it, the rabbithole goes way further!!!

If you deny that Afganistan has been drug ridden for 20 years, you sire are an idget. Furthermore, in 2001 only 8000 hectacres of poppies were reported to be growing in afghanistan. In 2008, over 90,000 hectacres were reported to to be growing in afganistan. Keep in mind; these hectacres are reported by the farmers themselves. Over 90,000 hectacres were being grown and not being reported prior to our invasion. How do you think Al Queda has guns? Cheat the Afghan farmers out of their crops.
