Consider the sheer amount of weight contained in the portion of the building above the impact, suddenly falling down on the tower below, crushing each floor one at a time like a stack of pancakes, each time adding more weight. Concrete was crushed into a fine powder? Possibly, but source that. Molten metal "flowing like lava"? You need to source that too. The metal never melted, it was softened and bent by the intense fires.

Why was the rate of collapse so uniform if the damage was primarily on the area of impact? Why was so much concrete crushed into such a fine powder? Why was there molten metal under the rubble, which was "flowing like lava" according to the crews there? All this needs to be explained before i even consider the possibility of the official story being true.

@footjob56 You are not understanding the point of what NOVA said. The statement that they are trying to make is that because the trusses (that were responsible for holding the columns) failed due to the fire, the columns floated freely. The columns twisted and buckled under the weight of the top of the buildings - leading to the collapse of both towers.

@MrEmerye In both towers the cores remained standing much longer after the floors and exterior columns had collapsed. However, they could not have been expected to survive due to the extreme damage sustained by the upper blocks falling on them and the damage from the collapse of the surrounding floors and exterior columns. For bother tows you can see core columns leaning over and snapping off as the structure falls apart. Controlled is the last thing I'd call it.
