this is a great achievement for obama. the first black president aswell, isnt that like a record? anyway im british, and i was happy when obama won the election =] and so were all my friends and familys, where i lived, infact half the people i knew who are intrested in politics were happy that obama won. and btw i agree. that was a very electrifying reaction =] and i like that word >> Electrifying <<

Well, once a president runs for re election he is the only one from his party who can be a candidate, so Obama is the only Democratic contender. But yeah, I agree with your comment

Not only in America you had this reaction. All around the world people celebrated the victory of Obama. I for one was as just as much excited as I was dissapointed when Bush won the 2004 elections...
Nov. 4, 2008 was the day the entire world was in extacy with the Obama election cause you guys finally had made the right decision. I can only hope in 2012 you will have the same outcome and the democrats (wether it is Obama or someone else) wil win the new elections...
