Toby as an artist is better solo. The comparison is unfair, though because yeah, Toby, Tait, and KMAX are amazing together. They didn't officially break up. They're on an extended hiatus. Originally each member was going to release 1 solo album each... But now Toby is working on 4, Tait has 2 and is the lead singer of the Newsboys and Kevin has a few albums out as well. Either way though, the writing for TMAC and DCT is similar. Most songs dc Talk did were written by tobyMac.

i Agree, but kevin didnt have a good record period, and tait had 1 good album, but he didnt advertise it like toby did. i still think that if they got back together and made one new cd, it would sell alot more than toby, kevin, and tait put together.

Eh. Probably not. If Portable Sounds was released in 96, it woulda went platinum. Limewire, Bearshare, and iTunes didn't exist yet. All those decrease album sales dramatically. Going Platinum is a bigger deal now.
