  • The bit right at the end of the video was useful, showing me how to open the case. I was then able to remove and replace the battery (with some soldering)!

  • what solidxfk said. After 2 years my battery is loosing charge very fast. Time to change it. I looked on Brauns website on the vitality manual. You just stick the head into the back hole of the charger; then twist (pun intendend). Simple battery change :)

  • @ZilinaSK That's what I have been trying to figure out from video, but the circuit board never gets in focus to figure out whihc way is correct.

What is freezing method to rejuvinate the battery?

  • @TheBharatSonal

If you watch the video closely you can figure out which way round the battery goes.

I couldn't find a reasonably priced 3v battery so instead I used the freezing method to rejuvenate the battery.

    It’s worked a treat and it’s still going :)

  • @ZilinaSK I got the parts opened up but forgot wheter the positive terminal is on top or bottom of brush. I replaced battery with positive at bottom but the switch does not work.

  • @corkymork : can you tell me where you purchased the battery replacement?

  • Thanks!

  • Perfect, thank you :)

Twisting the top anti-clockwise works :)

Use an old toothbrush head you can sacrifice and grasp the base of the head firmly with a pair of pliers.

If you do this carefully (with a bit of wiggling) the top section can be easily removed without causing any damage.

When removed, the whole internals can be slid out in one piece.

On reassembly the top section is pushed straight back down into position (no need to twist) and clicks into position.
