Well, consider this story well... The man with the 10,000 talents pleaded for forgiveness and mercy from the King. Then showed non when his servant pleaded for the same from him. The thing is, YES we do show mercy as the Lord has had mercy on us, cause we ASKED for forgiveness. There are those who are not willing to ask forgiveness and choose to stay in what they are doing, sin. God will turn those away who have not ASKED forgiveness of him cause they think they are in the right.

But ya know what? I was sitting here thinking - and ultimately - you're right - God's mercy will only fall upon the repentant heart - He is still showing a huge amount of mercy to the sinners of the day... delaying His return - not annihilating the wicked right now - etc

this cross section sampling of Christians on youtube who can look at other Christians and say "You aren't my brother!!!" disturbs me. If Jesus saved you, you should be guided by the Holy Spirit. Now, if you falsely accuse someone of not being a brother, and you are standing next to them in heaven, and Jesus has his arm around them and says, "man, you did the best with what you knew, you had bad theology, but otherwise, I'm proud of you. Now who was it that said he wasn't your brother?"

Doesn't the Master renege on his debt forgiveness to the Servent? ( in his anger no less, verse 34) The Servent only did to the lesser Servent, what the Master was going to do to him. There is no report of the Servent torturing the lesser servent either.
