question. do centerpins have drag?

@Alonelyzealot Centerpin reels don't have a drag, the gear ratio is one to one. For this particular reel, the Islander Steelheader, it has a clicker like most centerpin reels. When the clicker is on, it stops free spooling and clicks when line goes out or comes in.

I have alot of family and friends out west canada. But last time we visited I was to small to hold a rod :P

It's never too late to start. :) October and November are the months when you want to be visiting if you wish to catch some salmon in rivers.
