FDA Blocks Life Saving Cancer Drug Rally
December 5, 2011

Why Does This FDA Block This Drug?

It's not about the money, it's about a Bureaucracy. They are so focused on Research Statistics that they are stowing down drug approvals and getting away with it!
They decide "Benefits vs. Risks" without patient input.
ln fact, they discourage what they call "patient testimonials". It sounds condescending; it lS Patient Testimony!
They let private companies decide who gets single patient access.
The companies make life and death decisions based on "investment Risks".
THAT lS about the money. We need an FDA that works FOR US.

So, What Can You Do?
1. Ask your congressional reps to investigate this FDA: Congress has a HELP Committee that has been no help!
Email Senator Kerry's aide Stephen Meunier at
Stephen-Meunier@Kerry.Senate.Gov.
Email Senator Brown's aide, Abby Kral at Abby-Kral @ScottBrown.Senate.Gov.

2. Email Christie Hager, New England Regional Director, Federal HHS, at Christie.Hager@HHS'Gov.
HHS oversees this FDA.

3. Email Genentech, Krysta Pellegrino, public relations, at Pellegrino.Krysta@gene.com.
Ask her why Genentech will not grant ANY compassionate use of TDM-1.

4. Advocacy: Google Abigail Alliance and FAMEDS, Freedom of Access to Medicines.

5. Advocacy: Contact Komen for the Cure, Diana Rowden at drowden@komen.org.
Ask why they don't support more flexible treatments for Stage lV survivors.

6. Call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345.
Ask why they don't support more flexible treatments for Stage lV survivors.

7. Join "Our Her2 Cancer Struggle" on Facebook. The link is on Philip McCartin's Facebook page.
You can contact Phil at pmccartinjr@comcast.net.

8. Write a letter to the editor of any newspaper near you - about this cause!

Watch the requirements for publishing: word count limits, and include your name and address.

9. PLEASE FOLLOW UP -. YOU WILL SAVE LIVES!!!
