@resigamer17 you say that 390056, 057 and 058 might work on ECML, is that for trial or proper use. Could these replace class 91s?

@englischlokfuehrer i was told they submitted an application by east coast for a 390 by July this year but it was turned down by dft hence the return to virgin and yeah i know tamworth is getting done too

@resigamer17 There was I understand never any thought about sending them to ECML,that was mere speculation and wishful thinking by some. As for the 11 car operation we have been told not until next year or even 2013 as the timetable of events was set in stone by the DfT under Labour and the current bunch of misfits don't want to interfere with that, there is a lot of platform extension work going, (Stoke has been done, at least) .

@englischlokfuehrer there currently is no plans for 11 cars are there ? due to most stations needing to be extended,the ECML contract has now been cancelled so 390054,55,56 and 57 are all Virgin

@MrGriser As an 11 car, yes. But as a 9 car it can run under the exisiting safety case (Red tape)

Great Vid. thought these new sets were being used as 11 car sets, not 9? Wheres the virgin branding?

@WCMLJR16 390055 has received virgin branding and 390054 will soon,they are operating as 9 car sets until the platforms are extended for 11cars which will probably be end of this year and also 390056,390057 and 390058 have been ordered to possibly work the ECML for East Coast.
