This catapult throws a bowling ball 120 feet. Its nick name is Hercules. This Alaska-size catapult is powered by two coil springs from a salvaged 3/4 ton Dodge pickup truck. It takes 4,800 pounds of pressure to compress the springs (using a chain hoist). The throwing arm extends 15 feet with an eight-foot sling at the end of the throwing arm.
