"Uh...I'm not a very good driver."
Everyone looked over at Joe who was staring nervously at the go-cart track. "It's a little late for that Joe." Mandy stated as they all jumped into their go-carts.
Joe nervously sat down, buckling in. The light turned yellow. Everyone revved their engines. Then the light turned green. Everyone screamed and sped out on the track.
Kristy rammed into the back of Nick's go-cart. "Hey!" He yelled as she sped in front of him.
"Eat my dust fool!" Kristy screamed.
Joe and Kevin were tied in the lead. Liz came out of nowhere and knocked both Kevin and herself into the wall. "Oopsies!" Liz laughed.
Joe shouted, "I've never felt more alive!"
Mandy passed Kristy and Nick. "Suckers!"
It was Mandy and Joe. "You're going down pretty boy!" Mandy yelled at Joe.
"Pretty boy? Mandy I'm already dating someone else!"
"You know what I mean smartalic!"
"Ohh it's on!"
Joe hit on the breaks, making Mandy swerve too far to the right to avoid him and she got stuck on the wall. Joe slammed on the gas and crossed the finish line.
"Joe you're buying the ice-cream since you won!" Mandy said as they filed into an ice cream shop.
"Wait we never said that was a rule!" Joe whined.
"Too bad!" Kristy snapped.
"Whoa what up with the attitude?" Joe asked.
"Shut up Joe! I'm so sick of your stupid comments!" Kristy screamed. She turned and started to walk away.
"Sore loser much?"
"Joe!" Kristy turned around and jumped on Joe punching and kicking him as hard as she could.
"Kristy stop it!" Nick yelled. He grabbed her and pulled her off of a frightened looking Joe.
"Dang that girl has issues."
Kristy pulled away from Nick and stomped out of the ice-cream shop.
"What the heck?" Liz stared after Kristy in disbelief.
Mandy watched Kristy sit down at an outdoor table and burry her head in her hands.
Nick didn't say anything.
"Nick what'd you do?" Kevin folded his arms.
"I might of...possibly...accidently...called her Miley..."
"Ouch. Name mix up!" Mandy bit her lip.
"And even worse with that who...wholey moley I want some ice-cream!"
"Nice cover up Liz." Mandy rolled her eyes.
"Nick. Rule one about the ladies. Never, and I mean NEVER mix up their names! That's like setting the fuse on a crazy bomb...and that includes friends and girlfriends. Just give her time to cool off. She'll come around. They all do...especially the desperate ones." Joe said matter off factly.
"Wow Joe. I'd love to hear some of those other tips you have," Liz tapped her foot angrily.
"Rule two. Never let them hear the rules." Joe whispered to Nick.
"I heard that Joseph Adam Jonas!" Liz yelled.
"Rule three. Whole names are a bad sign."
Nick grabbed Joe by the collar and pulled him down whispering, "Rule four. Run!"
Joe jumped over a chair and ran out the door as Liz chased him yelling, "No Joe I'm not gonna hurt you. I just wanna tell you something. Get over here!"
"Shall we intervene?" Kevin offered.
"We shall." Mandy walked outside followed by Kevin and Nick.
"Cut it out you two!" Kevin yelled.
Joe and Liz walked over, Liz still holding Joe in a head lock. "Liz." Mandy raised an eyebrow.
"Fine." Liz let go. "I'm sorry Boo!" Liz kissed Joe.
"Now then," Mandy turned to Nick, "Nick go and win your woman back!"
The all looked at her. "Sorry. It's from a T.V. show!" Mandy sighed, "Just go talk to her."
Nick started walking over but then looked back at everyone. Joe pushed Nick in the back and he practically fell over. "Ohh sorry buddy!" Nick rolled his eyes, cracked his back, and sat down next to Kristy. She looked up, saw him, and turned her back to him.
"Look Kristy I'm sorry okay! It was an accident! It's not like you remind me of her!"
Kristy didn't move or say anything. Nick stood up and started to walk away but Kevin dashed over and pushed Nick back down into his chair.
Nick put his arm around Kristy. "I'm sorry! What do you want me to say? That I love you? Cause...I do."
Kristy looked at him in disbelief. Mandy, Liz, and Kevin gaped at them. "What?" Mandy gasped.
"Whoa I didn't see that one coming." Joe took a huge bite of his ice-cream cone.
"What the heck? When did you even go inside and get ice cream?" Liz stared at Joe.
Joe thought for a second. "I have no idea."
"No one understands how he does it Liz. It's just his way." Kevin patted Liz on the back.
"Well this is a little awkward..." Kristy said. "Maybe we should just go now..."
"Yeah, let's go."
Nick looked over at Kevin who jingled the keys saying, "I know, I know."
They walked to the car but all of a sudden Joe screamed, "Nooo!" and fell to his knees where his fallen ice cream cone lay. He burst into tears.
"Come on Joe." Kevin rolled his eyes.
"But...I loved that ice cream cone..." Joe sobbed.
As they drove away Joe screamed, "I love you!" out of the window towards the dropped ice cream cone.
"Um..." Kristy began but, Nick put his hand over her mouth and whispered, "Don't ask."
