@ActionCarl in the original story,it was hulk 1 he was reading I beleave. At the time, Lee and Kirby had just come out with their surfer book, their final team up.A cleavy way to promote it. The storyboards from this episode were used in ff 236,the 20th anniversery issue.

A time machine, dude! He can make trillions with that invention and conquer the world through corporations!
I'm a retard and even I can come up with better plans for world domination! Once you have a time machine, you can sell the patent, or change history in your favour, like going back in time to the renascence and conquering Europe with regular bazookas and tanks!

Oh man, this is absolutely incredible.
Dr. Doom, the tyrannical supervillain with countless armies, weapons, and powers, wants to BUY giant robots, potions, and whatnot, and there is only one possible way to do so: Send your arch enemies, not even your lackies, back in time to steal pirate booty.
Oh, and Doom doesn't lie.
This is the best show I've ever seen in my life.
