I still regard the GameCube as one of the best consoles ever. Great library of games available (for dirt cheap now!) and I love the controller. Some hate the controls, well play something else. Not only was it a perfect "party" console of the time, it had great graphics even by todays standards. But the best thing that GC simply "owned" the PS2 was load times. Pop a game in and you are playing! You'd still be watching the load screen on a PS2. GameCube is still awesome!

i agree with you, the gamecube is one of my favorite consoles, i got mine in 2005/2006 when it was at the end of its life, it was the silver colored one, it came with Tony Hawk's Underground 2 and i played it every week, and i got some more games for it later, then in 2007, i got a Nintendo wii so i didn't need the gamecube since the wii plays gc games (the older models from 2006-2011) and then in 2010 i got another gamecube, a black colored one

One of my favorite consoles of all time :) NOTHING will ever beat bringing 3 friends over to beat the living hell out of each other in SSBM, or beating Wind Waker or landing on Talon IV for the first time etc.
