I stopped using natural animal hairbrushes, as an artiste i felt guilty because to acquire animal hair, they are abused and even killed.
I find synthetic brushes as useful and actually better in many cases. Try Da Vinci synthetic rounds and mops, Grumbacher, cotman, and Robert Simmons. Excellent synthetic quality, perfect for professionals as well as academics and on top of that a lot cheaper and affordable. Happy painting artists, and please be environmentally conscious.
