Andre Rieu - Concierto de Aranjuez 2005
The Concierto de Aranjuez is a composition for classical guitar and orchestra by the Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo. Written in 1939, it is probably Rodrigo's best-known work, its success establishing his reputation as one of the foremost post-war Spanish composers.
Das Concierto de Aranjuez ist ein Solokonzert für Gitarre und Orchester von Joaquín Rodrigo (1901--1999). Es wurde im Frühjahr 1939 in Paris komponiert und am 9. November 1940 in Barcelona uraufgeführt.
El Concierto de Aranjuez es una composición musical para guitarra y orquesta (cfr. concierto para guitarra y orquesta)del compositor español Joaquín Rodrigo. Escrito en 1939, es probablemente el trabajo más conocido de Rodrigo, su éxito que establece su reputación como uno de los primeros compositores españoles de la posguerra.

Nadie discute la profesionalidad y el buen hacer de Andre Rieu, pero algunas veces se pasa en las versiones que interpreta. Creo que para el que quiera oir el Concierto de Aranjuez, como debe ser interopretado, vaya a cualquie video de algún guitarrista importante, como Paco de Lucia.

La versión no está tan mal, pero debiera haber incluido, algún video de los maravillosos jardines del Palacio Real de Aranjuez ó de los jardines del otro palacio que se llama "La Casa del Principe". El palacio y los jardines, fueron mandados construir por el rey Felipe V, en el año 1727.

A beautiful introduction and then......HOLY CRAP!
The orchestral arrangement has its moments but tends to overemphasize the extra dramatic portions of the melody. "Concierto di Aranjuez" has so many varied passages, ranging from dramatic to the most subtle of musical moments. This just paints over the whole tune and turns it into bubbling pap. It's as if Michael Bay had tried to remake "Hannah and Her Sisters".
