PM Cameron calls Gaza a Prison Camp

BBC David Cameron has said that Gaza "cannot remain a prison camp", and that aid and people should be allowed in both directions across the border.

The Prime Minister was speaking in Ankara in support of Turkey's ambition to join the European Union.

Mr Cameron also said the recent Israeli attack on an aid flotilla bound for Gaza "was totally unacceptable", but should not be allowed to damage the relationship between Turkey and Israel.

We've seen the horror, injustices & illegal occupation inflicted on the Palestinians by Israel & Allies. Let this be a lesson to all Nations with a conscience. I appeal to all Muslim nations to ban Israelis and neocons from entering their countries to avoid the same fate of Palestine. From now onwards, bilateral trade, political, diplomatic etc relationships must focused on esp. China. The western approach of 'shock 'n' awe' and greed is no more applicable.

@AngloSaxon1921 There is no big wall around it. There's a big fence dividing between Israel and the West Bank. That is the only thing that prevented the parade of suicide bombers in the streets of Israeli cities from continuing since 2005. The fence saves lives on both sides - the Palestinian militants can't kill women and children in buses, and Israel does not need to hunt down militants in the Palestinian cities and cause more destruction and casualties.

@AngloSaxon1921 Life expectancy, education, GDP - all higher in Palestine than in Turkey. So if Palestine is a concentration camp, it's one that I would wish half of the people of the world, and definitely all the people in Africa and the Middle East, to come and live in.

@viiper7 I'm quite tired of the word-games people do to refute antisemitism - the term refers to hostility and prejudice against Jews, not against "Semites" (which is a family of languages, not a race or ethnicity). The Arab and Muslim world is leading in Jew-hating today.

It is true that if Israel disappears then chances for world peace are higher - but why should the victim of hate, the only tiny country of the Jewish people - be blamed for that is done to it??? What about Justice???

@viiper7 That's one of the most common mistakes - if you look at statistics, you'll see that most suicide bombers come from rich families, they are well educated and have almost no history of conflict-related death in the family. Don't tell them what they are and why they do what they do (Islamist ideology), In any case, my point is that regardless of their own "justifications" for what they do - Israel must, MUST defend its citizens. That's not an option for Israel.

The people in Gaza who preforme suicide attacks are people who mentally and physically been tortured by the Israelites who slaughtered their children, murdered their wives and executed their brothers and sisters. They have nothing left to live for, nothing to lose at all they have been robbed bye everything they once had and now they seek revenge, they simple seek justice
