Jennifer talks about daylilies. She demonstrates how to dig up, split, and replant a daylily. She also has some ideas for companion plantings.

Daylilies love sunlight, and are tolerant of poorer soils. They are hardy, beautiful, and can be split every 3 or 4 years to provide new plants. We love them in our garden, and when they come into full bloom, we will be sure to show you!

  • Thank you for posting this! Very helpful! I am a beginner learning the basics with an established (but for some years a apparently neglected) old-fashioned perennial garden. The day lilies, irises, daisies and other things are smothering one another.
