I got a question I can't seem to find the answer on the web but I got a used zx-10 and the previous owner spray-bombed the tail section black and the front fender green but didn't sand the plastics is there a safe way to remove the spray paint and keep the plastics underneath safe I was thinking about paint thinner ?

@wedginator hi great vids what green is that please
-
Nice video. Thanks!
-
What color green is that? And were can i get it. I have a Kawasaki Bayou Prpject i am working on. AND is the paint for plastic? and does it chip and scratch easy?
-
LMAO "i'm gonna bring it to my friend's and he's gonna help me shoot clear"
-
Why would you rattle can it?? the spray seems inconsistent??
-
Good videos, but man... get a tripod lol
-
@mnguyen1224 it depends on the couler ...for instance as i didnt have the same shade red as the bike was originally i had to do a full respray to get it all even
-
@fireyphoenix1989 but is it necessary to repaint the whole fairing? or can I tape off the good parts and just sand and paint the bad parts?
-
@mnguyen1224 when i did mine i ended up useing 3 cans primer 5 cans paint 3 clear coat
hi mate mike again as im now on to primer n paint what colour primer shall i use im spraying same colour as you in paint so what colour in primer ???

@EXPLORINGYouinHD The lighter the primer the better. I used gray which is most common. And make sure the primer is safe for plastics.

I ordered paint from color rite and I sort of regret it....they seem shady. I haven't even received a confirmation email on delivery or anything :/

@Duckie4g All I can say is they're one of the largest paint distributors for powersport vehicles. Even dealers use them. Anyway, I'm not endorsed by Color Rite, so I guess good luck.

how come he did not sand off all the paint? i saw some parts with the original green. If i want to change the color of my bike do i sand everything and primer it like this video?

@MrKwanlee no need to sand all the previous colour off. The previous colour has already bonded to the plastics. All you need is to rough up the surface so the primer will stick.
