@Jay18Jay In the late 80's United Artists launched The Learning Channel on cable in the UK broadcast in PAL clear via the Intelsat 601 satellite at 27.5degW along with their UK cablechannel Wire TV also on the same satellite transponder;if you had a motorised satellite dish and receiver positioner unit you could easily pick it up. Later on United Artists encrypted those services in SAVE encryption then both services went digital using DVB MPEG2 using a much harder to hack encryption system.

They should call it Lifetime2. The wedding story..the baby story. Geez. What about the history of wedding rituals or what happens during gestation? The science of midgets? It is so bad now and they don't answer emails about it. I think they are too ashamed.

Seriously, that channel can't possibly call itself the learning channel, and it shouldn't. Because, I don't see any race besides that of Caucasians, portrayed positvely on that channel. Especially!! African Americans, which makes It truly a shame they would call themselves, the learning channel.. They should change their name to the lost channel.
