In celebration of the Day of the Creole Song at our Spanish school in Miraflores, Peru, a group of Creole musicians came to play some typical songs. Then a couple dressed in traditional costumes danced a Creole waltz. The students and teachers were able to ask the performers questions
about the importance of the Day of the Creole Song. Afterwards, one of our teachers sang "La Flor de la Canela" ("The Cinnamon Flower"), a famous waltz by Creole singer, Chabuca Granda. And at the end of the event another couple danced the "Marinera" and the musicians played a waltz for the students and teachers to dance to.
