What's the best linux for it?
I Just use it for school so i don't need any extras>>

you could always try a light version of linux like DSL (Damn Small Linux) or something that runs with little impact like that. depends on what features you want.

For a beginner/non expert use Xubuntu. For Linux expert use Arch Linux.

You'll probably end up with a custom built Ubuntu installation with a light WM like IceWM or fluxbox.
