Natural Hair ,the baby have eczema.
What is eczema?
Eczema is a general term for rash-like skin conditions. The most common type of eczema is called atopic dermatitis, which is an allergic reaction. Eczema is often very itchy and when you scratch it, the skin becomes red and inflamed. As many as 15 million people in the United States have some form of eczema. It occurs in adults and children, but most often appears on babies. You are more likely to have eczema if you have a family history of the condition.

Although the exact cause is unknown, eczema is not contagious. Eczema cant be cured, but it can be managed, and you can learn to avoid the things that trigger it.

Use a moisturizer on your skin every day.
Moisturizers help keep your skin soft and flexible. They prevent skin cracks. A plain moisturizer is best. Avoid moisturizers with fragrances (perfume) and a lot of extra ingredients. A good, cheap moisturizer is plain petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline). Use moisturizers that are more greasy than creamy, because creams usually have more preservatives in them.

Regular use of a moisturizer can help prevent the dry skin that is common in winter.

Avoid scratching or rubbing the itchy area.
Try not to scratch the irritated area on your skin even if it itches. Scratching can break the skin. Bacteria can enter these breaks and cause infection. Moisturizing your skin will help prevent itchiness.

  • Please don't put vasaline in here hair. It will smother her scalp and will not allow the hair to grow. Please no vasaline.

  • i'll pass that on . thanks for the amazing post! from stepf

  • I also have eczema and since going natural someone I discovered that veg glycerin works wonders on your hair as well as on eczema. Since most naturals have glycerin in their arsenal you can give it a try. I normally mix 6-8 parts distilled water and one part glycerin and spray that on freshly washed skin. It keeps the skin constantly hydrated

  • thank you for your comment

    ( i will look into this )

    from stepf

  • Aww! Cutie!

  • Aww Thank You

My mom wouldn't put the baby down ( i had to keep reminding her that she's not ours lol )

  • dont use rubberbands, or Vaseline!!! She should start RIGHT NOW using essential oils for her scalp, and a good deep conditioner. plat the hair and protect the ends! her hair will be down her back before she's 10

  • my daughter has ezcema... and i couldnt use everything on her skin cause shes so sensitive so i tried Head and Shoulder shampoo to wash her body and hair and aveno lotion to moisturize her skin

  • @luv2trump can you tell me advice on using essential oils for my two year old scalp along with a good deep conditioner. She has dry hair. I do agree that rubber bands are not good for her hair nor vaseline. I did that to her and wish I hadn't it seemed fine in the beginning but it made it worst.

  • I have a question:

My bfs mom n bf want to do plats on our baby, he's only 9 months (bi-racial) and has really curly hair, she says it's ok to do plats on a baby now, I'm thinking it's going to hurt him cuz he's so young!

So my ? Is he too young?

    Is it gonna hurt him?

  • @familygoingnatural I agree with you on passing on that advice.. My mother always styled my hair wet and greased my hair and scalp with vaseline... and it grew so fast and so healthy people where asking her what the secret was.. when she told them it wasnt vaseline.. they did not believe.. n e who... she is a cutie, hope she is still natural

  • For eczema oatmilk helps greatly when it seeps into your skin. Also drinking plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated. Vaseline is not recommended as it clogs the pores and leaves the skin greasy. Making sure you have a healthy diet and are getting your Vitamin C greatly improves eczema too. The skin loves to drink natural products. :)

  • NOT A SKIN DISEASE. your not even going to bother looknig at whats going on inside your body, your health or anythnig like that. where in the world can a so-called 'harmless skin disease' like this come from?! uncleanliness? bullshit

this age is a curse. ignorance is NOT always bliss

  • so cute!
