Windows XP Tutorials #2 Override Password

Note This will work with all Microsoft Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, and Vista
as long as you are an administrator for that account.

In a Nutshell:

1. Open Command Prompt

2. Type in Net User

3. Type in Net User any activated account on your computer *

4. Type a new password or no password

5. complete

Everything is in the text box. I tested it on a Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, and Vista and it works dude.

You may not be an administrator to your computer.

If your not than it won't work.

You are probably a "Simple User"

Go to Control Panel Click on "User Accounts" and try to change your account type to administrator.

If you can't than find out which account on your computer is an administrator and go onto that account then change your account to administrator.

that means you are not the administrator of that account that why he said you have to be an admin to change the pw like that if you are on a standard acct it won't work
