Good stuff but his best was about 10 yrs earlier!
I know that will upset some, but his true friends would agree!

@irishyop Far from a waste my friend, he has more studio albums than most solo artists and he is forever embedded in the memories of those who know him and those who have yet to discover him as an absolute legend and musical genius. I'm glad he was never polluted by the commercialism of the industry even though he tried to break through it, he had to much heart and soul for such a cold and callus platform.Hendrix was a waste, 'coz he didn't get time to mature.from paddy to another :)

Soul, passion, genius. Rest in perfect peace.

this makes me feel so human, so connected to others. we have all had our hearts broken, and i cried. and i held empathy for others during this, realising i am not alone. love is the greatest and at the same time can rendure us still.

What a waste of a talent, what an incredible song, every ounce of his body is in it and u can feel it fibrate his hurt around your ears.
Incredible way of putting your heart into a song.
RIP big man.

Here's hoping the hurt has gone, rest peacefully big feller. With luck I will see you somewhere, sometime. Thanks.

Aye, that was John Martyn. And on this one, a powerful performance of one of his most powerful pieces of music. The guitar solo also at the end of this is one of his best ever on an electric. Notice too: even though he has his mate Alan Thomson and also Max Middleton onstage, he still seems somehow seems 'alone there' -he always does to me. But frankly, this seems more than just a 'performance'. Look at his face near the end...this blokes for real.

I was once utterly addicted to this song. just b4 splitting up my girlfriend we watched this 2gether and both had tears running down our faces - we knew what was coming and this is how it would feel.
