I think St John is great in this version; very harmonious face, but extremely reserved. Wonderful!

My opinion: Actor for St John = amazing. For Rosamond = horrible

@maygoodcometous1 I agree! Also, it's another scene, proving in my eyes, that Dalton is the perfect Rochester. He portrays the masculinity, presence, and world-weary intelligence and kindness that I imagine in Rochester. The depth of his feelings for Jane really shows here.

3:01 Now that's an entrance! *Swoon*

@BestSoapCharacter I think he's the best St.John in all the versions. He has the chilling, chiseled voice and looks.

This actor did well with the role of St John.

The scene with Rochester in this video, for me, is the true expression of his love for Jane: He wants her well, and safe, and lacking for nothing. He has learned his lesson, I think. He sees that, truly as she said to him she "cannot be his", but that does not mean that he drops her completely...that he abandons her to the vagaries of a cruel world. He wants to be able, still, to think of her living on the same Earth as he, well, and perhaps even content. Sigh....

Mr. Rochester flinging open BOTH doors...What an entrance!

i can try endlessly, but i guess i will never love this version like the 2006 one.
I think that the extra scene with Briggs is actually a good idea..instead of having St. John retell what Rochester has been doing exactly as if we're reading the book!
p.s. im dissapointed with the casting of St.John..thought he was meant to be handsome! :(

very powerful scene between Briggs and Rochester. I wonder if Mr R would leave Jane in peace when found her ? I doubt hahahaha :oD
