I don't know, but I think people who don't feel like this isn't Black Metal have been misled into a standard of crap like Dimmu Borgir and whatnot. When this came out, it was THE BEST of everything that was Black Metal, shortly after Black Metal first spawned from Death Metal. Yeah, a lot of bands were Black Metal pioneers (Burzum, Venom, Mayhem, etc.), but Samael were Black Metal perfectionists. Black Metal now days are wishing they could be Samael, but they're just cheap imitations. (IMO)
