One hundred and fifty Boston University School of Public Health alumni, students, faculty and staff reconnected for a lively night of food, drinks and conversations November 8 at the School's annual alumni reception during the American Public Health Association's 2010 Annual Meeting.
The reception took place at Jacks @ Jazz in Denver. Dean Robert Meenan presented the 2010 Distinguished Alumni Awards to Sarah Degnan Kambou, PhD, MPH '84, president of the International Center for Research on Women, and to Carol Karutu, MPH '05, an international project director at Intrahealth. Ali Noorani, MPH '99, the executive director of the National Immigration Forum, received his award in absentia.
The BUSPH Alumni Reception is a yearly event held during the APHA Annual Meeting.
