This one will be a special treat for the millinerily inclined. Adolphe Menjou and Greer Garson join Dorothy and Bennett.

  • that's great, thanks a lot! it's just sad that greer didn't get a chance to take a guess... i hope you'll have some other WML contestants of that episode where greer DOES get a chance to talk!!! but adolphe is really charming and his introduction was very sweet :D

    thanks again!!

  • I'm afraid I only saved this segment and the Walter Brennan one, which someone else already put up.

  • Thanks for posting, I've been trying to find this episode with Greer Garson on the panel!

  • Damn - these women are FINE!

  • where was this "current" Zeigfeld show done?

  • It's obvious that today's Las Vegas showgirl is the descendant of the Ziegfeld girl.

  • I wish Arlene had been on the panel that night- I can just imagine what wonderful remarks she could have made.

  • i agree- i smell a rat. someone was peeking or snooping backstage.

  • 0:48 -- one of the few times that John Daly does not have a name plate before him.

1:07 --- A pretty girl is like a melody, and this is a symphony.

  • Thanx for posting. We can view most of the 12 May 1957 broadcast:

    this sequence

dharmabum3333 What's My Line 1957 featuring Chuck Wendel -- great hair

then Walter Brennan, doing one of the more bloodcurdling vocal disguises ever

I find Menjou's only appearance on the panel somewhat suspect. Talk about hitting it out of the park. Did he see someone despite the eye cover? Did he encounter one in the hall? His identification of Brennan is quite dramatic / triumphant, too.

  • oh that's too bad.. yes, i have already seen the other segment..

    thanks anyway :)
