Does Taco Bell use beef, meat or something else to make their seasoned ground beef taco filling? Why does Taco Bell use silicon dioxide and oats in their meat? Is Taco Bell beef quality meat? If taco bell is 88% beef, then what is the other 12% if it isn't meat? In this series on fast food, Bryan Marcel visits Wendy's, Subway, McDonald's, Burger King and Chick-fil-A to determine what are the best food items on their menu to eat, based on food ingredients. At Taco Bell Bryan recommends that you not get the beans, rice, nacho cheese, chips, taco shells or tortillas. That doesn't leave a whole lot that you can buy from Taco Bell. Taco Bell adds oats and silicon dioxide (silica, sand) to bulk up their meat. The result is that Taco Bell meat isn't really all meat.Taco bell was recently sued over it's meat. The lawsuit wasn't about money. The people who sued Taco Bell wanted Taco Bell to stop calling their meat "seasoned ground beef". The lawsuit was later dropped, but only after Taco Bell admitted that their meat was not 100% beef, but just 88% beef and other ingredients. Taco Bell has now spent million of dollars running commercials to explain to the consumer what their ingredients are that they use in their meat. Taco Bells ingredients, in my opinion aren't quality ingredients, but then fast food never is about quality. Fast food, like Taco Bell is about cheap food. You get what you pay for. http://www.BryanMarcel.com

  • These are videos that are needed ot show kids at a young age. It should be illegal for fast food to advertise, just like how its illegal for tobacco.

  • @ajp500 Kids have no money and can't drive. The parents have the money and the car. The parents need to be parents and simply not take their kids to eat fast food.

  • 5th, they recalled the taco shells, so you cant say that its in them right now. and sixth, people dont have 30 min to go cook tacos. get your facts straight

  • first of all, oats are healthy for you. second, cows will die if you feed them cement. third, there's thousand of taco bells in the country, so they have to put some chemicals in as preservatives. fourth, things can be used for many things. baking soda is used for cleaning, deodorizing, etc. you can say like "you wouldn't want to eat cleaning chemicals now would you?", and you will eat it in your cookies that you baked. but its edible. you can have more then 1 use for lots of things.

  • 7:32 wow you my good sir, are amazing for doing that..

  • why is there not one million hits and like on this? the EASY way isnt always the BEST way. As Mr. Marcel has demonstrated, we can no longer use the excuse of fast food being cheaper. its more expensive both pocketwise AND healthwise. Lets make a change! Thx Marcel

  • what location is this?

  • I love taco bell

  • Who the hell came up with these ingredients in some of this food?

  • So your pretty much saying... Dont eat out.. Ever

  • Reminds me of the whole debacle we went trough here in Denmark about 15 years ago when the government told the industry that they wanted all ingredients labelled clearly on the food packaging.

Most tried to hide the abel away on the underside, or with very small letters.

Except a company called Rynkeby, that made juice and other fruit drinks ... what did they do ? They slapped the whole thing on the front, in easily readable lettering.

Ballsy move, but it worked, they had nothing to hide.

  • If we all Had the Money you do Bryan we could eat Organic food all the time. Most of us are lucky to afford a $1 Taco or Hamburger. Make a video of what to buy from the supermarket that fits your high standards on a $200 food stamp a month budget.
