Daggerfall Test Music through an MPU-401

So apparently Daggerfall has been freely available for a while, and once I finish with either Mystery Dungeon or Wizardry 8, I will pick up Daggerfall as my next project.

In the meantime, however, I'd like to share one thing - the way the test music sounds in the MIDI device that was recommended for running the game in DOSBox.

Fun trick with this setup program is you can use it to play any .HMP file if you rename it to TEST.HMP, though if you use the SoundBlaster\AdLib audio (OPL2\OPL3) you have to have the proper MELODY.OPL DRUMS.OPL something renamed to the ones the setup program uses or it'll sound wrong.

Descent 1 for DOS uses the same sound system but it's a bit of a hassle to get the same trick to work, I got it to work through hex editing though.

Ah, an interesting project indeed!  Done your salivating over the DaggerXL project yet? I'd like to think it somehow likely that it will see some good growth during this next year or so until ES V is released.
