In this video we take a look at User Mode 1 on the Novation Launchpad, which is taylored for triggering Drum Racks in Ableton Live.
By default the Pad LEDs don't respond when pressed in User Mode 1 or when notes are being played by Ableton so I'll show you some MIDI routing that will allow you to get a visual feedback.
Using the Drum Racks in User Mode 1 it's quite easy to build up a drum loop using Overdub in a MIDI clip.
How do you get live input feedback from individual notes my stays blank till im done recording

May I ask where you get this Drumrack samples from? I really like that one, and tried to put it together myself, but I didn't quite get it together.

@DjZeroGravity129 Impulse is a fine drum machine, I have Live 8 Suite and use it for almost all of my drum loops. You do know you don't need to use Abletons inbuilt drum racks? Download a sample kit like vengeance and just drag your own drum samples into Impulse. ;)
