Couldn't have said it better MoneyChood. He did more before he was 22 than some guys did for a career in the playoffs. The game winner against Phoenix in '00 (Gm 2). The 'arrival'...saving Shaq's bacon in Gm 4 against Indy in the Finals. The 48/45 back to back ON THE ROAD against Sac and the Spurs. The 36/9/8 against S.A. in Gm 3. Yeah...it was Shaq only. SMH...Kobe was 1a after 2000, no matter what haters say about it. He was the harbinger for them on the road. Shaq dominated at home.

the first title in 2000 was mostly shaq, he was damn good, Shaq was even shooting jump shots out at 15 feet and making them. The way I see it, Shaq deserved the lion's share for the 2000 championship and the 2002 championship and Kobe deserved it for 2001. Kobe ethered the west coast, they didn't know what to do with him, and the defense he put on Iverson was fantastic.

there is no doubt in my mind that kobe,not only on the road,was the mvp of that series.

BUT,the strengh of the spurs was the twin tower and shaq single handedly took care of them... it's a fact and it's impossible to ignore.

Shaq was the main peice these years but kobe was the guy they went to in the cluch even shaq will say that .. They did it togather at the end of the day it wasn't one or the other it was both of them .. Both of there egos not just Kobe's was the reason why that team had to be broken up .. I'm tired of people not giving Kobe any credit .. It was a team effort ..
